Tactile Manipulatives

I picked up this little manipulative at a health fair recently. A malleable red plastic pillow with Shelley beads inside of it. It’s used as a promotional item for our recreation center. I played with it all day. The cool temperature…the bright red color…the squishy feel…and the heart shape all appealed to me. I realized using a tactile item as a promotion is a win-win. I keep it around and play with it when I’m thinking. This was a brilliant marketing idea!
